Tell us something about you and, how did you begin as a designer?
I am a trained gardener and also a master florist. I love to play with nature and have been able to implement and realize many great projects over the last 20 years. At the beginning I was allowed to work as a designer for many wholesalers (in Austria, Germany, Slovenia, France, Italy, etc.) and design the showrooms with their products. So I was always up to date with the latest developments and developments. After that, it was important to me to create special decorations and concepts for hotels and to actively create great arrangements for events and wedding floristry. I am very lucky that I am allowed to work in a job which I love with all my heart and which fulfills me. And is very versatile and varied.
How would you define your style?
I always try to keep things up to date and to keep up with the times. Of course, the needs of customers and architecture also play a major role. Otherwise, I always like it to be very classic, calm but stylish (which happens with the choice of different materials).
What are the things that inspire you the most?
Most of what inspires me is nature itself. There is so much to discover here. Otherwise it inspires me when there are exciting materials with special surfaces and colors with which I can exercise my creativity.
How is for you, use preserved flowers and plants? And what would be the feature you likely the most about the preserved?
In the last few years there has been a trend in which preserved products are in great demand. The advantages are obvious: no maintenance, natural product, etc. My favorite product is moss. It conveys peace, relaxation, contentment and is also nice to touch. My customers buy this item the most.
If you had to choose, one project with preserved that you are really proud, which one would be?
It is definitely these projects that often make it technically difficult to implement and install certain moss walls etc. I think these are the projects i’m most proud of because it was just difficult to realize. And it is precisely with these projects that you learn the most.
What would you like to innovate or try in the future?
For the future, I will try to continue to design and implement exciting projects together with my customers so that we can inspire the end customer again and again. And here the preserved mosses, plants, etc. Are exactly the right thing. There are many design options here. I’m looking forward to the challenge.
Any last words?
I am very grateful and happy that I can do such a great job and work internationally with such special people and companies where you can exchange ideas and grow together.
